This morning I visited the sewage lagoons at Mitchell. All five cells were
open and there was a large number of ducks along with 3 Tree Swallows that
made a brief visit.
Waterfowl seen were: Canada Goose, Wood Duck, Common Merganser, Ring-necked
Duck, Lesser Scaup, Mallard, American Black Duck, American Widgeon, Redhead,
Bufflehead.
Mitchell Sewage Lagoons are situated in Mitchell which is 20 km west of
Stratford on Hwy 8. Turn south on Wellington Street and travel 1.5 km to
the end of the road. Follow the gravel road beside the ball field for 300
m. The 5 cells are straight ahead.
