So many birds this morning and some notable. After a number of ducks
at the Embrun lagoons9 of the usual species but each in small
number--the Albert lagoons this morning yielded an early Savannah
Sparrow and on the road in at the Albert entrance a Northern Shrike.
I was grateful to meet Paul Schoening who directed me to a western
cell with a Pied-billed Grebe. At both Albert and Crysler entrances
to the lagoons were Gray Partridge. On the Crysler entrance road a
Red-shouldered Hawk overhead. Paul kindly led me to Reveler Road
(somewhere east of this) where an early Field Sparrow, and deeper in
the woods the drumming of Ruffed Grouse.

to the ENE toward St. Albert. Continue on Regional 5 another 2.2 km to
the Crysler turnoff, where Regional 5 turns SSE. Continue ENE on
Regional 7 watching for the sign for the sewage lagoons, on the south,
opposite house number 1664. This is the entrance to the St. Albert
