Greetings all,
I'm posting this on behalf of Keith "Tiny" Lee. The Brighton Sewage
Lagoon complex will be open to birders this Friday, Aug. 24 from 6 -
8 p.m. and again on Sunday from 9-11 a.m. Keith will be there on
Friday and I will be filling in for him on Sunday.
Directions: The Brighton Sewage Lagoon complex is located in the
south-east corner of Brighton on Cty. Rd. 64. To reach it, exit from
Hwy 401 at the Brighton exit and go south into town. Continue south
through the two traffic lights on what is now Prince Edward St., go
south over the railway tracks, and follow for about a km. At this
point, follow the main road as it begins to swing left (east), rather
than continuing south on Cedar St.. The lagoons appear just as you
complete the long turn. To enter the wetland complex on the south
side, go to the eastern-most gate.
Feel free to call if you have any questions,
Cheers,
Doug McRae
