Hello to all,

The Eastern Loggerhead Shrike Recovery Program is nearing the end of
another successful season. The captive breeding program has released
over 100 juvenile shrikes again this summer in Ontario. Productivity
has also been relatively high in the wild population.

As our young birds begin their southward migration, I would like to
remind everyone to please report any shrike sightings to Wildlife
Preservation Canada (see contact details below). Please pay particular
attention to any leg band combinations - we are especially interested in
any birds wearing a green colour band, as these are birds released from
our captive-breeding program.

We thank you for your help!

Jessica
