Saw dozens of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds in large areas of spotted touch-me-nots near path to beach at west end of Wolfe Island on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
Directions: Wolfe Island Ferry (leaves Kingston on the half hour until 12:30 and on the hour at 2pm and later; free): The ferry terminal is on Ontario Street just east of Princess Street. From the ferry dock in Marysville, turn right. Turn left onto Highway 95. Travel south to the second intersection (about 4 km). Turn right onto Reeds Bay Road. This road is straight at first and then winds left along the south shore of Reeds Bay. Turn left on to the 3rd Line Road and follow it south to the parking lot.
