Highlights of reports received September 6 through September 13 from the Niagara Frontier Region include WESTERN KINGBIRD, SNOWY EGRET, WILSON'S PHALAROPE and warblers.

In Ontario, September 10, a WESTERN KINGBIRD was found at the tip of the east pier at Port Weller. It is a one mile walk from the parking lot to the tip; subsequent searches did not re-find the KINGBIRD.

September 8 at Tifft Nature Preserve in Buffalo, a SNOWY EGRET was reported again at Berm Pond.

 Fifteen shorebird species on September 8 in the Oak Orchard-
Iroquois-Tonawanda Areas were highlighted by a WILSON'S PHALAROPE at Goose Pond in the Oak Orchard Area, and 4 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS plus MERLIN and PEREGRINE FALCON at Cinnamon Marsh, on the east side of Meadville Road in the Tonawanda Area.

Good migrant warbler counts from backyards on September 9. In a Town of Wilson yard, 13 warbler species plus WARBLING VIREO, RED-EYED VIREO, PHILADELPHIA VIREO and BLUE-HEADED VIREO, YELLOW-B. FLYCATCHER, RED-BR. NUTHATCH, WINTER WREN, RUBY-CR. KINGLET, LINCOLN'S SPARROW, WHITE-THR. SPARROW and PURPLE FINCH. From a Williamsville yard in Amherst, 11 warbler species included NORTHERN PARULA and PINE WARBLER, plus COMMON NIGHTHAWK, RUBY-T. HUMMINGBIRD, SWAINSON'S THRUSH and ROSE-BR. GROSBEAK.
