Yesterday at 4.30 pm and today at 10.30 pm the juvenile ruff was present west of the bridge on Road 31. Both days it was chumming with with lesser yellowlegs, rather than pectorals. It stands out by its peachy coloured face, neck and breast alone. Directions: (by memory; have lost earlier postings and just back from Stratford) Exit the 401 at 222, go north past Embro to sideroad 28, go west past Harrington to Road 31 and turn north to bridge. The more westernly bridge on road 29 has very poor habitat and almost all the shorebirds were east and west of the bridge on road 31. Good luck.
