Visibility in general was very good but there was a definite increase in the humidity during the afternoon. Winds were light and variable early becoming light to moderate east-southeast by noon. Raptor Observations: The flight was predictably sluggish with only Sharp-shins recorded in significant numbers, as is the norm on such days at this point of the season given the conditions. Non-raptor Observations: It is perhaps noteworthy that Monarch migration has dropped off markedly in the past few days. Chimney Swifts and Tree Swallows were the most numerous non-raptor migrants seen at the watch today with a handful of Hummingbirds noted as well. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
