Many old friends and many new helped with the count. Thanks to Dan and Steve for the great job welcoming visitors and counting. Weather: Morning cloud giving way to sunshine, mild temps and SW-NW winds were the order of the day Raptor Observations: A good showing of raptors for the first day of the Hawk Festival. The raptor banders were busy in the morning with numerous Sharp-shinned hawks being netted. Non-raptor Observations: The blue tied continued with Jays winging West. A decent fallout of passerines in the park overnight provided the banders with ample birds for their banding demonstaration and the adoption program. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Claude Radley ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Holiday Beach Migration Observatory information may be found at: http://hbmo.org/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
