Observation time: 08:00 to 15:00EST --a thoroughly enjoyable 7 hours

for at least 1 hr.
Weather:strong NW winds; rising BP; TUV=3; 4-9C; alternating sun with much
cloud
(some rain)
Raptor Observations: around 0930EST the migration "began", with hawks coming
in on 3 fronts
--in addition to 292 Red-tailed Hawks highlights were 3 juvenile Golden
Eagles, 11 Red-shouldereds, and 3 Rough-leggeds (SEE TABLE BELOW)
Non-raptor Observations: for a while we were thinking of renaming our RW the
CMPW!!!!!!-- COMMON REDPOLLS flew over, followed by one landing in tree at
the platform; E.Towhee, several E.Bluebirds, 8 Rusty blackbirds,7
Black-bellied Plovers, several Dunlins, 30 Am.pipits, Pine Siskins, 15 Cedar
Waxwings,Mockingbird, female Purple Finch, Am.Tree Sparrow, Red-bellied
Woodpecker,Hairy Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, many migrating Am.Crows,
Am.Goldfinches, AND 3 Monarch Butterflies
