The White-faced Ibis was present early Sunday afternoon on both the
north and south sides of Hillman Bridge.
A Great Egret, one juvenile Black-crowned Night-Heron, 20 Greater
Yellowlegs and 2 Lesser Yellowlegs were also present. A very large
female juvenile Peregrine made multiple passes at a bird hidden from
our view without successfully flushing it and moved off.
DIRECTIONS [thanks to Blake Mann]
From Leamington:Take Oak Street east out of the town. When you see
the entrance for Hillman Marsh just keep going a little further until
you see the bridge. The Ibis has been seen from both sides of the bridge.
From 401Tilbury exit south to County Road 1 (Wheatley townline) to
Number #3 highway. Turn right onto the number #3 then watch for the
Hillman Conservation area signs. Follow Rd. 37 to the marsh entrance.
Thanks to all of you who have been reporting its daily presence.
