Weather: A very cool and overcast morning didn't change much over the day. Temps started at 4.2 C with a high of 10.6 C. Winds began NW the first hour and a half, and switched to S the rest of the day. Cloud cover remained throughout the day at 90% to 100%. Highlights were one early Peregrine Falcon who was harrassing a Red-tailed Hawk perched in a snag in the center of the marsh, Four Male Northern Harriers, and an Immature Golden Eagle who crossed the marsh along the far shore relatively high. Non-raptor Observations: Many Many Ducks were present today--Our visitors identified the following varietes: Redhead, Canvasback, Green-winged Teal, American Coot, Ring-necked, Mallard, Wood Duck, American Black Duck, Gadwall, Northern Shoveler. American Crows were moving in large number for serval hours...970 the first hour. Good size flocks of mixed Blackbirds including Redwinged and Rusty. There were still at least a half dozen Great Blue Herons in the marsh today. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Cindy Isenhoff ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Holiday Beach Migration Observatory information may be found at: http://hbmo.org/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
