Hey birders. I ran out of the house this morning around 8am to catch up with my girlfriend and upon reaching two doors down I stopped her in her tracks when I heard the unmistakable call of a Bohemian Waxwing. I told her to "freeze" and ran back for my bins. Sure enough a single Bohemian stood at the peak of the tree amid a half dozen Cedars and stayed in the general vacinity for a good 5 minutes until flying off northeast to another backyard. Sarah, my girlfriend, enjoyed the unique size comparisons between the two species as well as enjoyed her life bird looks through my bins! I did manage to backtrack two yards and see it for my Guelph yard list! I am visiting the Guelph Arboretum this afternoon and will certainly post if more waxwings are there.
