Winter listers,
The late lingering Gnatcatcher was discovered again this Sat morning at the
Bluffs at Burloak Park. The bird responded well to pishing, but seems to be
foraging in a wide area, from Shoreacres (Palletta Park) to the Shell Pier,
in the last week.
Other notable birds at Burloak Park this morning were, Common Repolls,
Winter Wren, American Pipit, Song Sparrow.
Directions: "Burloak Waterfront Park" is situated off Lakeshore Rd between
Burloak Drive and Appleby Line in Burlington, opposite the Seniors
residence. The bird when I had it was foraging low at the Bluffs were the
Bank Swallow holes are. There was warm morning sun on these bluffs and the
bird could possible be using the holes as a roost!
Good luck,
Dave Don
