This may not be the right place to post this question - if not, I apologize. This is a link to a photo of a Finch that has been seen in our backyard over the past couple weeks http://flickr.com/photos/kadacat/2139257535/.
I first noticed him when he just stayed on the feeder and didn't move. I was able to walk quite close to him before he flew away but I felt ok knowing that he could still fly. I have noticed him again the past couple days (I am not normally home during the day so don't have the opportunity to watch the feeders). He was there again mostly sitting at the feeder. I got an opportunity to see him closer and get a photo of him. He has an eye injury which is likely causing him problems with moving around. He seems to be bigger than the other birds likely because he is not moving around. I am not sure if there is something I can or should do for him. I feel so bad seeing him just sitting there and he twitches his head quite a bit - I imagine the eye is bothering him. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. - Marlene _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
