Hi Folks, Happy New Year! I was visiting Tiny Marsh late Sunday afternoon at the main interpretive centre. I didn't see a whole lot of birds and the gentleman using the chainsaw was likely the reason why. However, the one bird I did get close to had me perplexed. I have run the photo by a few birders (thanks to Ken Newcombe and Ron Fleming) and have been told I may have captured a shot of a "Leucistic black-capped chickadee". The photo is not the best but I would be willing to share it with anyone interested in seeing the bird. I have re-sized the photo to 373Kb which makes it email friendly. Here are some links and directions for Tiny Marsh, I viewed the bird in the bushes directly behind the main office (literally 2 feet behind the back wall). http://www.ibacanada.com/pdf/tinymarshiba.pdf http://www.trailsofgeorgianbay.com/tiny-marsh.htm Glenn Steplock Richmond Hilll _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
