After moving here close to two years ago I am finding it hard to fathum the
fact that SNOW's inhabit farmlot areas within the Kawartha Lakes. I've been on
the lookout for SNOW's now for over four months and have come up empty
searching within Kawartha lakes. Banding is a past time and not being involved
as much as i would like to b/c of college I am finding it hard to band as much
as i would like. I ask any of you fellow birders, have you seen snowy owls
within the Peterborough County/Kawartha Lakes County in recent years, or are
these wanders of the north just seldom to rare visitors? I would appreciate any
definate observations...

  Best Regards,
