Between waves of rain showers I barely managed a quick walk out the end
of the peninsula. Highlights included 6 Common Loons, 107 Red-necked Grebes
and 13 Horned Grebes ... also two Bonaparte's Gull flying nne about 100
meters offshore were accompanied by a Little Gull (all in breeding plumage).
There were at least 30-40 Tree Swallows (with at least one Bank Swallow and
3 male Barn Swallows) feeding over the peninsula in more shelter bay/marina.
(I also picked up my first spring Purple Martin over Rattray Marsh at 7:00
pm this evening).

Directions:
the entrance to the park is directly off of Kipling, so keeping on driving
to parking lot a the end of road (well past the Catholic School).
