Posting for Barb Charlton, Rob Dobos, Dave Don and Thomas Crooks The four along with several other birders were unable to locate the Burrowing Owl today. A good variety of migrants were seen on the island though specifically at Lighthouse Point. These include (in no specific order):
Worm-eating Warbler Black-and-white Warbler Northern Parula Hooded Warbler Blue-winged Warbler Nashville Warbler Palm Warbler Chestnut-sided Warbler Yellow Warbler Yellow-rumped Warbler Northern Waterthrush Common Yellowthroat Scarlet Tanager White-eyed Vireo Red-eyed Vireo Swainson's Thrush Blue-gray Gnatcatcher Lincoln's Sparrow Thanks to all for scouting out a very difficult place to get to on short notice! Maybe the little beast ended up on the mainland somewhere. Regards, Cheryl Edgecombe sadly not even voted on the island today _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
