A Fulvous Whistling-Duck was present late yesterday afternoon at the St-Albert sewage lagoons, East of Ottawa.
The bird was standing in the grass, in company of a male Mallard and other ducks on the bank of the South-West lagoon. It flew away with 3 males Mallards, but when I stopped following them they were flying in a direction which seemed to indicate that they might return, although I did not see them return. I will send a more detailed report later on, to explain among other things why I put a ? in the title, although I am satisfied with the identification. Good luck to anyone looking for this bird.
