Hello everyone: This report comes on behalf of Keith Lee (Tiny).

I shall just list according to what I saw and/or hear this morning in the Wetland - Least Flycatcher, many Marsh Wren, Common Yellowthroat Warbler, Redwing Balckbird, Yellow Warbler, Common Grackle, Tree Swallow, Killdeer, Moorhen (3 on the mud and 2 in the water on the north side of the south pond and many others calling), Northern Oriole, Mute Swans, Trumpeter (Oscar) Swan, 9 Dunlin, many Mallard (Drakes), Canada Geese + a family of 10, Blue Wing Teal (2 male), Song Sparrow, families of Mallards of varoius ages - 10 older duckings, 6 at least 10 days old and 8 very young), the Mute Swan family of 8 cygnets and as I was leaving 4 Spotted Sandpipers boasterously arrive on the mud.

The Osprey have greatly reduced the distance they will tolerate anyone near their pole. The nesting adult will start screaming angrily. Unfortunately we are still unable to confirm a chick.

A reminder that starting next Saturday June 14, 2008 Keith Lee (Tiny) will be at the Wetland between 4:00 and 7:00pm.

Directions: The Constructed Wetland is located at the SE corner of
Brighton. From Hwy 401, take the Brighton exit 509 (Hwy. 30) and follow
it south into town. Go south through the two traffic lights, over
the railway tracks and follow the main road, now called Prince Edward
Street, south. About 1 km south of the tracks, the main road begins
to swing to the left and becomes Cty. Rd. 64. As this long turn
ends the Constructed Wetlands appear on the right side.
