7   am   today  at  Reesor  Pond  -  1  Baird's  Sandpiper  and  first
  Semi-palmated Sandpipers [3] + 6 Blue-winged Teal

  Lesser  and Greater Yellowlegs have been present for weeks while up to
  4 Great Egrets and 13 Great Blue Herons have been seen at one time. DC
  Cormorants, Caspian Terns and Belted Kingfishers are regulars

  Note  -  several kinds of water plants are now beginning to infill the
  shores  which  will someday of course, provide habitat for more animal
  and bird species
  Reesor Pond lies just North of Hwy 407 on Reesor Road in Markham
