Firstly, welcome back to Geoff--he loves the c-c-cold!! I thank him immensely
for taking over the rein of the count sheet.

Weather conditions dictated a good flight of raptors---strong NW winds, rising
BP, and good thermals. It was cold (2-5C), but everyone waited in anticipation
for an eagle--they had to wait until early afternoon, but in the meanst they
were rewarded with 3 rapid, low-flying northern Goshawks(2 adults), a
low-perched Northern Saw-whet Owl, a great view of a Red-shouldered Hawk, a
total of 350 migrating raptors, many of which came in very close, and a total
of 65 bird species--eg.-cedar waxwings, rusty blackbirds, pine siskins, fox
sparrow, NORTHERN SHRIKE, yellow-rumped warblers, Wild Turkey(2), etc. Geoff
saw a fall warbler, it being either a Bay-breasted or Blackpoll.
3 GOLDEN EAGLES (2 adult) and a juv. BALD EAGLE (# 67) came through in the
1300EST hour.
