At about 11:30 AM I saw a flock of about 20 White-winged Crossbills in
Stratford near the Art Gallery on Romeo Street. They landed in the tall
conifers on the north side and then continued west towards Lake Victoria. The
movement of crossbills and other winter finches across southern Ontario now
seems to be quite wide-ranging. If you see a tight flock of small birds, have
a good look. They could be crossbills or siskins.
