For the 5th consecutive day we had a hanging haze on Friday, Nov.7 morning at
the Cranberry Marsh RW. We observed 2 distant Red-tailed Hawks, along with 1 of
each of N.Harrrier, Sharp-shinned and PEREGRINE. (see table below)
Highlight non-raptors--EASTERN TOWHEE, WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS (20+ in the
trees near the platform on Nov.6; on the roadway on Nov.7); many PINE SISKINS,
1 MARSH WREN, HOUSE FINCH; several CEDAR WAXWINGS, and a SAWWHET OWL on Nov.6 .
Among the ducks--n.pintail, n.shoveler, green-winged teal, mallard, black duck,
REDHEAD, AM.WIGEON.
The Nov.6 SAWWHET was not seen during the morning hours today.
