Raptor Observations: Red-tailed Hawks made up the flight today (19), with a couple of highlights including a low-flying Golden Eagle and an adult Red-shouldered Hawk. The rest was a trickle of birds consisting of singles of Turvey Vulture, Bald Eagle, Northern Harrier, and Cooper's Hawk. Non-raptor Observations: A flock of 50 Snow Buntings passed by the count. Scaup numbered in the hundreds today with a single Common Loon near the southern tip of Celeron Island. A Yellow-rumped Warbler flew into the nearby trees and American Tree Sparrow and Swamp Sparrow were common call-notes heard while scanning the skies. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Greg Norwood ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
