Hi Everyone Spent the past 3 days birding the Niagara River between N.O.T.L and Chippawa. Overall the gull watching was good and we saw most of the birds reported by the OFO group. We did have 2 Little Gulls, one at the flyby on Nov. 29th at NOTL along with 5197 Bonaparte's Gull. There was also 3 Red-throated Loons. The biggest surprise was a very late Blue-headed Vireo on Nov.30th in Chippawa near the corner of Thomas Str. and Chippawa Parkway. We observed the vireo in a mixed flock of Dark-eyed Junco, Black-capped Chickadee, Golden-crowned and 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet. There were a few Tufted Titmice and Red-bellied Woodpeckers in the area. Also 1 Eastern Bluebird and 2 White-winged Crossbill. Yesterday, December 1st checked Sir Adam Beck and had 3 Iceland, 1 adult Thayer's and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls. Enroute home made a brief stop at Stoney Creek and saw 2 female King Eiders off Millen Ave along with 1000's of Long-tailed duck and all 3 scoters. If you require additional information, please email me privately. Good birding, Bruce
