An Eared grebe was spotted by Paula Clark in the reservoir adjacent to the gate
house building above the falls just south of the engineerium building and
across from the entrance to the Dufferin Islands nature area. She saw it
around 2:30 pm. I saw the grebe around 3:30 at which time I met with Paula &
we observed the bird till we left at 4:30 pm. This is the same area where
there is usually a pied bill grebe and the hooded mergansers.

Direction: from the QEW take the 420(Robert St.) to the Niagara River Pkwy.
Go south along the Niagara River Pkwy past the falls to the entrance to
Dufferin Island nature area where you can park for free. The reservoir is
opposite the entrance.
