On Dec. 26, at 4:00 PM, a Great Gray Owl just west of the intersection of Cedar
Tree Road and Bulmer's Road, hunting from trees at the edge of a pasture 400
metres from Cedar Tree Road (north of the road). Found by Stephen O'Donnell and
Judy Arai and observed by Dan Bone and Susan Blayney. We hope to get this
brownish, first year bird for the Kawartha CBC tomorrow but it is nice to have
a count week sighting in the bag.

Fenelon Falls is about 25 kms north of Lindsay. To get to Cedar Tree Road take
County Road 121 north out of Fenelon Falls past county Road 8. Turn right on to
Cedar Tree about 3 kms past CR 8 and proceed 3 or 4 kms to Bulmer's Road.
