To back Tom up on this shoveling snow theory I to added W W Crossbill s to our yard list this morning while snow shoveling l!!! a small flock of 35+ flue over in to our cedars , followed by 200 + Pine siskin .. this was the 3 new yard bird in 48 hours, yesterday we had Red Polls at the feeder and of all things 2 Mute Swans fly over ....
we have only bin in our new house 2 winters and the yard tally has yet to be down but what fun it is ... Craig & Bev Whitby is found just east of Toronto on the 401 and as I have seed before has some of the best winter birding in Ont ( ha-ha) ....
