Feb.16,09 on the west side of the Champlain Bridge in Ottawa I saw what I beleived to be 8-10 Common Golden Eye. They were near the exit ramp to proceed to Ottawa from Bates Island. I saw them around 3:30 pm when I was returning from Quebec on the Bridge. It was amusing to watch them drift in the water down to the bridge then fly back west to repeat the process. When I returned around 5:00pm they were gone for the night.
