Hi All

Today at noon, we went up to the Roman Line to find the owls again, no snow
plows so we had more success. We had 1 adult female snowy on the Roman Line
north of the Breen Rd and another juvenile female on the Breen Rd, east of the
Roman Line and another pure white adult male on the Roman Line just south of
the Breen Rd. All were sitting on ridges on the ground.

We also had a huge flock of Snow Buntings part way down the Line, I would
estimate 5000 birds on the road and the fields, quite a site. There were
numerous small flocks of Horned Larks along the way.

When we first got to the Roman Line we had a flock of 4 turkeys, 2 males and 2
females that were having an encounter with a single male. Quite the fluffing
and chasing went on amongst the males trying to chase the interloper off!

Good Birding,

Ellen Smout

Directions: Take Hwy #4 north of London, past Elginfield to the Roman line on
the right, a couple of km down the road is Breen Rd.
