Hello Ontario Birders: First of all, thanks to everyone who either posted to Ontbirds or to me about species seen during the Winter Birding Season of December 1, 2008 to February 28, 2009.
With 2 separate reports from two separate locations (Essex and Leamington) this past Wednesday of American Woodcock, the Unofficial 2008/09 Ontario Winter List ended up at 197 species, two more than last year. I look forward to tracking the winter list again in 2009/10.
