On the way to Sudbury today I stopped to check a field of geese just outside Desbarats, and had 2 white morph Ross's Geese along with a Cackling Goose and about 250 Canada Geese. This was at about 10:30 a.m. I got a few identifiable shots which I will post to my blog when I can. The link is http://ssmbirding.blogspot.com.
Good Birding, David Bell, 17 Sault Ste. Marie, ON Directions: Desbarats is located about 40km east of Sault Ste. Marie on Hwy 17. The geese were in a field on the side of the highway about 1km east of town. They were less than 100m away, providing excellent scope views.
