Hi folks. Pat and I spent the last two days (away from e-mail) at a private home near the southeast edge of Walker Woods. American Woodcocks were peenting and performing their display flights both evenings (yesterday and the day before). This morning, as we were visiting with a pair of Fox Sparrows, four Sandhill Cranes flew low overhead, heading northeast. And I watched a Red-Shouldered Hawk late this morning, on the east side of the 4th Sideline, just north of Balsam.
Good birding, Skip You reach Walker Woods and Glen Major Forest by heading south from Uxbridge along the 7th Concession, or north from Balsam along the 4th Sideline (which is actually the same road). _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
