Hi everyone... thanks to some information posted by Rip at a great forum,....

I was able to see and photograph the Red-necked Grebes in Bronte Harbour
yesterday evening. At their usual spot just east of the main building at the
Bronte Marina... image here on my main page...

Directions... QEW to Oakville, go south on the Bronte Rd exit to the end,
follow Ontario St. east to the parking lot (about 1/4 km) and park near the
playground... then walk straight to the lake / marina from there.
The family photographed is on the east location tire., as there are now 2
active tire nests... east and west.
There is a walkway near this location, telescope is not needed, maybe bins....
400-500mm will work well for photographers. These birds are very comfortable
with people around.
Special thanks to the people who maintain these nesting opportunities.
I hope to have more images on my website soon.
take good care!
