Non-raptor Observations: A few birds worthy of mention today: American Bittern, 1 Black-crowned Night-heron, 4-5 A number of shorebirds including B-b Plover, Solitary Sandpiper, Lesser and Greater Yellowlegs, Dunlin (15), Least Sandpiper, S-b Dowitcher, and Wilson's Snipe. Bonaparte's Gull, 2 (FOF) Common Nighthawk, 1 Ruby-throated Hummingbird, 13 Purple Martin, 5 Fair number of warblers heading west along the lakeshore in the AM despite wet conditions. Purple Finch, 1 Predictions: Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of rain showers. Slight chance of a PM t-storm. Winds generally light from the East-northeast and East.
