Folks Amongst the flock of warblers hanging out in the T.J. Dolan Natural Area in Stratford Monday was a Worm-eating Warbler. During the first week of September, 11 other species of warbler were in the flock including: Nashville, Black-throated Green, Chestnut-sided, Pine, Bay-breasted, Cape May, Black-and-white, Blackburnian, Canada and Wilson's. There were a dozen American Redstarts. On Sunday morning, 7 Sept., at my home on Daly Ave. a few blocks away near the river, a pair of Broad-winged Hawks flew up the street and landed in the tree across the street. They are now added to my yard list. By Tuesday all these birds could not be found. Directions to the Dolan: From Huron Street in Stratford, take Highway 8 West; go south on John St. to the small parking lot on the west side just below the river.
