Total observation time: 8.5 hours
Official Counter: Seth Cutright
Observers: Dan Gertiser, Fred Kirn, Jim Lynch, Rodney Laura,
Terry Angevine
Visitors:
Around 10 or so people stopped by today.
Weather:
Weather was warm, in the 80's, and cloud cover was around 50% most of the
day. Wind was mostly North-West at 0-10MPH. Visibility was Hazy-Clear.
Tuesdays weather looks to be about the same as today's.
Raptor Observations:
Today seemed to be the best of the season so far. Good to fair movements
of most species. This was the most Broad-winged Hawks that I have counted
so far in one day. A total of 2,106 were counted, with 1,971 going over in
one hour. 30 American Kestrels also were nice to see.
Non-raptor Observations:
Blue Jays were also on the move again today just like the past few days. ~
517 Blue Jays were counted. A Solitary Sandpiper also flew past and was
new for the count season.
Predictions:
The flight should be about the same if not a little higher.
