Greetings! Humber Bay East has been slightly busy. I was lucky to find the resident Kingfisher's favourite perch. As well a pair of American Wigeon were in the the pond along with about a dozen Northern Shovellers.
Also present was a Great Egret (on the West side in the bay). There were not many shorebirds: two Kildeer and a Spotted Sandpiper. Two Hooded Mergansers were in the pond along with many Gadwall in their lovely Fall colours. Cheers, Bernie Humber Bay East is at Parklawn South of Lakeshore Blvd. Go along the Gardiner/QEW to Parklawn and head south. At Lakeshore Blvd go through the intersection. Take your first right for the parking lot. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
