Visibility was mostly clear with some haze early. Raptor Observations: A few Northern Harriers came by today and even kind of close at times. 101 Turkey Vultures were counted. Not much moved before the rain came. Rain in the Western part of the state, mixed with East-South-East winds at the count location, made it for a slow count. Non-raptor Observations: Some, ~100-200 Red-winged Blackbirds went by. A good number of Blue Jays also were seen. Several Chimney Swifts have been going by the past few days or so. Predictions: Might be really strong West-North-West winds Wednesday so could be a good day. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Seth Cutright ([email protected]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
