Weather: Today was another slow day. Part of the day had South-West wind, and the last part of the day had East-South-East. It was around 5mph all day, with clear to hazy visibility. Cloud cover was around 75% most of the day. Raptor Observations: Thanks again for all of those who came by today on this warm but slow movement day. Allan Brushaber with daughter Pam stopped by today...but this time he did not find any Golden Eagles... But Pam did get to take part in the slow day by clicking one of the Sharp-shinned Hawks that came by, so that was fun. Everyone else who came by thought it would be a good day with the lighter wind and warmer temps, but it stayed slow all day. One Northern Goshawk was seen at the end of the day, 3:15pm, and was the last bird of the day. Non-raptor Observations: More Red-winged Blackbird and Rusty Blackbird flocks were going over today. An American Pipit did fly over today calling as it went. Predictions: For those of you interested in coming by the count, I now start at around 9:00-9:15am. Sunrise being close to 8:00am. Wednesday should be warmer so it could be good for birds to move, or could be slow again if winds are South or South-West. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Seth Cutright ([email protected]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
