After a few hours of rain early I was able to go down for the last few hours of the count. it was slow with mostly South-West wind, and late in the day the count area also had East wind. Visibility was good and cloud cover was around 40%. Wind was 5-10mph. Raptor Observations: Not much to report, 38 Turkey Vultures and 35 Sharp-shinned Hawks made up most of the count. Non-raptor Observations: Many American Robins were around. A few Horned Larks also flew over. Black and Mallard Ducks also went over. Predictions: It might start out slow again on Thursday. Looks like rain could happen in the early afternoon. Might be good as the wind changes to the North-West right before and after the rain. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Seth Cutright ([email protected]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
