The 6 American Avocets were still at West Perth Wetlands as of 11 AM Thursday.
They were moving between the first cell and the largest cell. Also present
were Black-bellied Plover, Killdeer, White-rumped Sandpiper, Dunlin, Least
Sandpiper, Pectorla Sandpiper, and both yellowlegs. The waterfowl includes
Mallard, blacks, Green-winged Teal, Ring-neck Duck.

Construction is on-going but West Perth Wetlands is one of the best places to
see shorebirds. The municipality welcomes visitors; no permits are required.
