Off-&-on rain and poor thermals have limited a significant lakefront hawk
migration
for each of Oct.27,28 and 29. Indeed, raptors for these days have been 15,4
& 12 resp.
Migrating raptors for the 3 days in toto--15 Turkey Vultures, 2 BALD EAGLES
(1st yr.),
5 Sharp-shinned, 3 Cooper's, 5 Red-taileds, 1 Rough-legged --SEE TABLE BELOW
Some Non-raptors: RUSTY BLACKBIRDS, both Yellowlegs,
AMERICAN TREE SPARROW, VIRGINIA RAIL, MARSH WREN,
FOX SPARROW, PINTAIL, SHOVELER, YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER,
PURPLE FINCH, HOUSE FINCH, EASTERN TOWHEE, AM.BITTERN,
2 adult TRUMPETER SWANS & 3 young, etc.
