After that the wind was mostly Southeast, and around 3-6mph. Visibility was clear all day, and cloud cover around 90% all day. Raptor Observations: With the light South, Southeast, or East-South-East winds the day was mostly slow. At around 2:00pm, I was about to leave when a kettle of Turkey Vultures was seen. 61 total Turkey Vultures were counted, all in the 2-3pm hour. A total of 93 raptors were counted, and one highlight was a dark phase/morph Rough-legged Hawk late in the day. Non-raptor Observations: Not really to much new around. More Tundra Swans seen, and a Red-breasted Merganser. Predictions: It will be good Thursday if the weather does what they say it will. West-North-West winds at around 10-15mph if not more. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Seth Cutright ([email protected]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
