Weather: Overcast to mostly cloudy skies with South-southeast to Southeast winds at 2 to 7 mph. Temps. ranged from 5.3 to a high of 8C. Visibility improved from fair to good. Raptor Observations: Started off very, very slow, but picked up slightly into the afternoon. Some early afternoon clearing was just enough for the vultures and Redtails. The westbound flight line was along the north edge of the marsh, and the flight height was generally low. Non-raptor Observations: A slow day for migration all-around. 15 species of waterfowl, including 3 Bufflehead, 1 Hooded Merganser, and a flock of Red-breasted Merganser. Bonaparte's Gull- 10, Am. Crow- 260, Horned Lark- 25, Am. Robin- 15, Am. Pipit- 80, Lapland Longspur- 6+, Purple Finch- 4, Pine Siskin- 1, Am. Goldfinch- 185. Predictions: Mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of a passing rain shower. West to West-northwest winds at 15 to 25 mph. High of 9C. Chance of rain around 30%.
