                  Olga Klekner

Visitors:
Many thanks to Jim McCoy, Mike Fitzpatrick, Martin Blagdurn, and Olga
Klekner for their spotting assistance today.

Weather:
Overcast to mostly cloudy skies with North to Northeast winds at 5 to 15
mph (gusts to 20 mph). Temps. ranged from 9.3 to a high of 11.8 C, despite
it feeling much cooler. Visibility was good to excellent throughout the
day.

Raptor Observations:
A nice and diverse flight of raptors for 10 November, including all 3
regular falcons. Red-tailed Hawks made up a majority of the flight today
with greater than 95% of those being adults. Fair numbers of Northern
Harriers and Sharp-shinned Hawks, especially the latter for the second week
of November. Additional highlights include 3 light (although 1 quite
heavily-marked) morph Roughlegs and 4 Golden Eagles.

Non-raptor Observations:
15 species of waterfowl, including 224 Tundra Swans (may have been upwards
of 251),

Sandhill Crane- 1,

Bald Eagle- 2 (resident pair),

Killdeer- 2,

Horned Lark- 205,

Am. Crow- 20,000+,

Eastern Bluebird- 3+,
Am. Robin- 115,

Am. Pipit- 50,
Cedar Waxwing- 81,

Am. Tree Sparrow- 10,
Song Sparrow- 1,
Swamp Sparrow- 1,

Lapland Longspur- 4+,

Purple Finch- 8,
Common Redpoll- 1 (FOF, calling flyover),
Pine Siskin- 4+,
Am. Goldfinch- 735.

Predictions:
Mostly sunny skies with Northeast winds at 5 to 10 mph. High of 12C. Looks
like another good day setting up for tomorrow. Undoubtedly a better flight
than today with a productive combination of sun and steady Northeast winds.
