Subject: LAPLAND LONGSPURS

Further to Mike Street & Bill Smith's sighting of yesterday, today
at 1:30 P.M. we found at least 30 Lapland Longspurs at the very
same location.

Many were sitting on the road right in front of our vehicle, and others
in the corn stubble close to the road on both sides.

On our way there, we had 3 Northern Harriers, at least 6 Red Tails
and one Rough-Legged Hawk.

Driving west on Concession 9 from Cheapside Rd., we saw several
different bird species in the brush along the road, namely Cardinal,
Red-Bellied Woodpecker, Juncos, Chickadee and American Tree
Sparrows.

We also saw 20 Turkeys on the east side of 1st Rd. East between
Highland Road and Hwy. # 20.

Thanks Mike for your posting. Dennis & Gwen Lewington
