For those winter listing, this may be of interest. Not that these beasts stay in one place but at approx 2:30 p.m. today, Dave Don and I had 7 Turkey Vultures sitting in spruce trees on 4th Concesssion West in Flamborough. We would have missed them had Dave not seen one flap their wings. The birds were sitting at 1948 4th Concession West, west of Woodhill Road. It may be a roost as over the past weeks several vultures seem to travel between Waterdown Garden Supply (close to here)/over Lynden and the Brantford Dump.
Directions: >From the 403 Hamilton, take Highway 6 North, turn left (west) on Concession 4 West. Continue a fair bit west past Hwy 8 and west of Woodhill Road. There is a red mailbox at 1948 4th Concession West on the south side of the road.
